About beyond the office

beyond the office was founded in 2006. Although a native of Pittsburgh, PA, I currently operate from Southeastern Connecticut where my husband is stationed as an active duty service member of the United States Navy.

Having had the goal of being a small business owner for many years, I decided to turn over a decade of professional administrative experience into a successful business venture. In my "corporate days", I have worked in many fields, including supporting busy real estate offices and mortgage consultants. Other past experience includes supporting the Pittsburgh Police Department, a familly-run law firm, and bustling medical offices and business centers.

As a business owner, I am dedicated to customer service. I strive to provide my customers with an accurate description of my abilities before any agreements are signed or work is begun. If for any reason a customer is not satisfied, I will do everything within my power to make them happy again.

Through my professional affiliations, I have a vast network of virtual professionals that I can utilize for reference, assistance, and information. If there's a task that you need assistance with that I can't help you with, I'd be happy to refer you to one of these talented professionals.

In my personal life, I am very involved in my local community. I volunteer in several ways to assist other military families. I remember what is was like to be transplanted to a new place where you don't know anyone and where everything is foreign. Through programs like COMPASS and the Navy Family Ombudsman Program, I endeavor to help other spouses and family members become more familiar with the military community and local area.

Both in my business, and in my professional life, I strive to learn new things and challenge myself to grow and learn. This means that I am contantly discovering new technologies and methods that can be beneficial to my customers.

I love what I do. Each day brings a new set a of tasks and challenges that keeps the corporate tedium at bay. I enjoy working with professionals and individuals from all industries, as it exposes me to additional things that I may not have otherwise encountered and that may benefit other clients as well.
